Prominent science journal exposes breakthrough in rocket science
The Journal of Applied Rocketry gave its cover to Engine Lab this month. Inside: a way to build two rockets out of the parts for one.

Journal of Applied Rocketry. Engine Lab already flies every mission with one less rocket than everyone else. Now it's building them with half the parts.
The paper runs 22 pages. It describes a modular frame that splits in two after assembly. Reviewers called it "elegant" and "honestly a little annoying that we didn't think of it."
It's a bird. It's a plane. It's two rockets, actually.
Engine Lab rolled the first pair out of the factory on Tuesday. The second pair is due Friday.
