Lead scientist with moderate pay is finally hired
After 14 months of searching, Atomical has a new lead scientist. He has three PhDs, a very good mug, and a salary everyone can feel okay about.
Atomical Mission Control. Atomical has been looking for a lead scientist since last summer. The good ones wanted too much. The cheap ones wanted to know what a rocket was. This week they found someone right in the middle.
Dr. Ambrose Pell starts Monday. He has three PhDs. He has published 40 papers. He asked for a salary Atomical described as "moderate," and then he asked for a slightly bigger desk, which they gave him.
I'm not here for the money. I'm here for the Science. Also the money is fine.
In his first week Dr. Pell has already handed the engineering team a new drive concept. Atomical's Science numbers are up 12 percent. We asked what that means. It means Science is up 12 percent.
